Liebster Award

First off thank you to the lovely Valerie for nominating me! At first I was extremely confused when I saw I had been nominated for a Liebster award but now I understand what it is I think it's a great way to discover new bloggers (just like me)... It's just a bit of fun ladies so if I nominate you I look forward to reading your answers.

Following the protocol the rules are as followed:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you, and link back to them.
2. Answer the questions they sent you.
3. Nominate 11 bloggers with under 200 followers to answer your own set of questions.
4. Notify these 11 bloggers you nominated them.

Questions

1. Favourite colour? Be really specific? Is it wrong to say black? As long as I've always remembered I loved black... if I'm not allowed black as a colour I'll go with purple.
2. Why did you get into blogging? I've been ready blogs for over 4 years and suddenly decided one day that I wanted to be a part of this community. I love reading other blogs and I love writing about beauty and fashion.
3. What is your spirit animal? A wolf! I am obsessed with wolves! (I will own a husky one day to satisfy my obsession)
4. What is always in your bag, no matter what? Probably about 7 lipsticks. I always seem to have at least 5 shades of red lipsticks in my bag... Really not sure what's wrong with me.
5. What is the essential item in your wardrobe? Without a doubt black skinny jeans. They are always my go to item.
6. Favourite TV show? Picking one would be impossible but my top four are Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Gossip Girl and The OC.
7. If you could work for any company in the world, where would you work and why? Any film company would be perfect please. It's my dream to be an Art Director in the film industry!
8. What's a book you can always re-read? Any of the Harry Potter books!
9. One of your fondest childhood memories? Probably going to Disney World with my Dad and step family. I have such an amazing time with them all.
10. What food can you always eat? Cheese! If I could live on cheese for the rest of my life I would be extremely happy!

Aint no rest for the wicked

Watch - Daniel Wellington
Rings - Regal Rose

After a few weeks of blogging taking the back seat while life got in the way I'M BACK! and with some exciting news... I HAVE A NEW JOB. Finally I get to leave my old shitty place and will be working at the ever so amazing Kurt Geiger. Excited is an understatement! Although I will miss my amazing colleagues, I'm so over the moon about having a new opportunity.

Back to the outfit... I saw this on ASOS a couple of weeks ago and as I have been embracing colour and prints right now I thought this would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. It's super lightweight which is perfect in this heat wave we seem to be have been having lately (which needs to stay please weather). It's just fun and quirky and I love how it's very different from anything I own. I'm loving wearing it with my chunky gladiator sandals but I'm also looking forward to dressing this down with a pair of converse and a denim jacket in the evenings.

Hope you lovelies are okay.

Left you there in the sunlight

T-Shirt - ebay
Trousers - H&M
Shoes - Topshop
Rings - Regal Rose
Watch - Daniel Wellington
Lipstick - Nars Red Square

I'm wearing trousers... and not even jeans... proper trousers!! To any of my friends this is a total weird and new thing as I'm a jeans girl through and through but I'm actually really getting into proper(?) trousers now. These ones are from H&M and I'm pretty sure they were only £14. They are the perfect ankle grazer length (a must for me whenever I buy trousers) and are so comfy. They sit high waisted (not that you can tell in these pictures with this baggy top) which when worn with a crop top shows the perfect amount of skin without feeling too exposed. These are pretty different to any of the other trousers I've seen in the shops and add a nice twist to smart black trousers.

I've been posting a lot more on my instagram recently so I'd love you to go check it out (@alicegostick)

The best budget eyeliner - Collection Fast Stroke

I'm forever on the hunt for the best eyeliner so I'm always buying new ones to compare... Anything to help me achieve the perfect (and simple) cat flick! At only £2.99 I was not really expecting too much from this little bottle but boy was I wrong. The colour is an intense black and stays black throughout the day (no fading to grey here ladies). I do tend to wear an eyeshadow primer but even on days where I've forgotten to pop it on there hasn't been any form of transferring on to my top lids. It glides on smoothly and is so easy to create the perfect flick. At this price I recommend everyone head to your local boots or superdrug and try it!

What's your favourite eyeliner?

I'm just trying to put the world to right

T-Shirt - ebay
Shorts - Topshop
Shirt - Charity Shop
Levi Denim Jacket via my Step Dad's wardrobe
Rings - Regal Rose & ASOS

I'm back from the most incredible time of my life at Glastonbury! I honestly had the best time and I was so lucky to spend it with some of my favourite people. The weather might have been extremely wet at times but when the sun came out boy was it hot!! If any of you were lucky enough to have gone as well then I hope you enjoyed every second of it and you're not suffering with festival flu like I am.

Here's what I wore on one of the days. Another laid back and comfy look. I got this amazing wolf T-shirt for a bargain of £4.99 on ebay. It's a really nice and over sized making it super comfy and flattering after eating non stop greasy food and drinking a shed load of alcohol for nearly a week. This check shirt has come to every single festival I've been to as it is so good just to throw in a bag without taking up any space and get out when it's getting colder. It's actually a mens X-Large from Ralph Lauren but I found it in a charity shop in Brighton years ago for £7... Possibly my best bargain to date. I've learnt the key at festivals is definitely to layer so I really recommend looking for items like this to take with you if you are heading to any this summer.

I'm off to Wireless festival on Friday which I am extremely excited about! Oh I love festival season!!
